Collin McGuire, MHS is an Associate at Dobson | DaVanzo, joining the firm in December 2022. He brings significant experience in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods analyses and accompanying data visualization. Mr. McGuire serves as project coordinator on the firm’s Part D Claims Medicare contract to support the Centers of Medicare and Medicare Services (CMS). In this role, he assists with project management, literature reviews, and the development and implementation of analytical models in a variety of programming languages, as well as ad hoc analyses requested by CMS. Mr. McGuire also serves as a subject matter expert on the CMS Parts C and D Data Validation contract for Medication Therapy Management (MTM) related tasks.

Mr. McGuire also utilizes his skills in analytics and report writing to help non-governmental clients. He has supported the analysis of proposed rule changes to the Medicare Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility transfer policy and has helped analyze the funding structure of Children’s hospitals to support increased funding efforts. Additionally, he also plays a key role in the firm’s legal work, assisting with and leading the drafting efforts for a series of expert reports and declarations. Mr. McGuire is also a member of the digital marketing team and is co-responsible for the D|D external newsletter.

Prior to his role at Dobson | DaVanzo, Mr. McGuire served as a Research Assistant at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, where he led quantitative and mixed methods analyses on the efficacy of HIV intervention programs among key populations in Southern Africa. He also worked as an HIV and AIDS educator for HEAL International, in Tempe, Arizona and on the ground in Arusha, Tanzania. Mr. McGuire is proficient in the use of STATA and R for quantitative analysis and used qualitative analysis extensively during his time as a student and in HIV AIDS prevention. His manuscript, “Characterizing the impact of the Key Populations Investment Fund (KPIF) on HIV prevention and treatment programs for key populations in Malawi”, was presented at the International AIDS Conference 2022.

He graduated from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a Master of Health Science, and also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Global Health and Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Arizona State University.
