Sky Gonzalez, M.P.H. is an Associate at Dobson | DaVanzo. Ms. Gonzalez received her Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Health Data Analytics at the Milken Institute of Public Health - The George Washington University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Healthcare Administration from Rutgers University’s Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, where she also received a certificate in Public Health Management.
Ms. Gonzalez provides support on the firm’s contracts with the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as the project coordinator of the CMS Medicare Part C and Part D Data Validation project. In addition, she has worked on the administrative day-to-day functions for various projects, like the CMS State Data Resource Center (SDRC) project and the CMS Medicare Intravenous Immune Globulin (IVIG) Demonstration. Ms. Gonzalez has provided support on the Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) project, as well as the Part D Formulary and Benefits Assessments project.
Additionally, Ms. Gonzalez has assisted with numerous corporate projects, providing project coordination, leading primary and secondary data analysis, and conducting semi-structured interviews, as well as large focus groups. These projects have ranged from highly complex quantitative projects to mixed-methods studies, as well as research utilizing qualitative thematic coding. Ms. Gonzalez aided in writing a white paper concerning the challenges of surgical physician specialties in adopting value-based payment (specifically the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement Model), and she currently serves as the project coordinator for a survey study to examine the impact of competitive bidding on continuous glucose monitors. In addition, she has served as co-project lead for two consecutive Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA) across healthcare systems in Central Indiana, where she designed and administered a key stakeholder survey, conducted semi-structured interviews, coordinated outreach with the client and key stakeholders, facilitated large focus groups, thematically coded qualitative findings, analyzed secondary data, and authored the final report in compliance with federal, state, and grant requirements.
