Ada Cheng, MAS/IT, is a Data Associate who joined Dobson DaVanzo & Associates, LLC in April, 2020. She complements our analytic staff as she has over ten years’ experience performing statistical analyses using Medicare and Medicaid data. Since joining the firm, Ms. Cheng has worked on several projects for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). In addition, she managed and analyzed a state Medicaid database to support several projects. Ms. Cheng also supports the development of episodes and data visualization for a clinical retrospective longitudinal cohort analysis.
Prior to joining Dobson | DaVanzo, she served as a principal data analyst for a large government contractor, supporting a variety of data requests to extract and conduct analysis on data from the Defense Medical Surveillance System. She performed ad hoc queries and provided customized reports based on a longitudinal data warehouse (DMSS) which contained data from multiple systems across the Military Health System.
She also served as a senior data analyst working for a major insurance company. She specialized in PBC (Performance Based Compensation), enhancing and maintaining quarterly reports using the data retrieved from the CMS. She was responsible for developing hospital baseline reports, weekly report requests and detailed data reports for PBC, as well as profiling and benchmarking for all hospital performance measurements.
Ada Cheng earned a Master of Administrative Science / Information Technology degree from the Johns Hopkins University.
