Peter Gruhn joined Dobson | DaVanzo & Associates (DDA) as a Senior Associate in 2017. He brings over 20 years of experience as an economist and health services researcher to the Dobson | DaVanzo team. In his role, Peter works with government, association, and other commercial clients, examining Medicare Part C and D issues, Medicare reimbursement and payment system reform issues, and pharmacy cost and device value proposition related issues. Peter brings a strong combination of payment system knowledge, programming and analytic modeling skills, as well as project management abilities, in support of client information, advocacy, and actionable intelligence needs.
Peter was most recently a Principal at The Moran Company where he worked on a variety of payment system reform and reimbursement adequacy issues, primarily as they relate to long-term and post-acute care (LTPAC), LTPAC support, and physician services.
Peter was previously Senior Director of Research at a LTPAC trade association, the American Health Care Association (AHCA), where he worked on LTPAC reimbursement, regulatory, workforce, quality improvement, and health information technology issues and policies, with a particular focus on skilled nursing facilities.
Peter earned a M.A. in Economics from Carleton University and a B.A. (Honors) in International Relations from the University of Windsor.
